Marooned
Description: The landscape including the buildings are the modified test scene "Dawn over the dead alien city 1" by David Brinnen. I changed haze, camera and sun position and exchanged the HDRI by "Fire Cube 400" I made over two years ago from an
artwork of David's. The stranded vehicle is "TAV88" modelled in Bryce by Alan Armstrong.

The terrain looks good, however parts seem to be a little jagged, mostly on the mountain on the left. The terrain texture seems to be a bit blurry, but I don't know how to fix that. The sky colour and the planet look amazing. The ship is positioned well. I also like the buildings, good texture and layout.

Thanks man! The problem might be that the whole scene is rather small.

Horo, the scene is great! The reason the center hull became transparent is because the light gel transparency mat is not larger than the underlying hull (when scaled down). The transparency area cut into the underlying hull. The light mat should be at least point one units larger than the metallic hull. See if that helps. Connorzelinsky may be right too..

Very convincing mood set up by the environment's lighting. The planet contributes a lot too. As if I'm looking at a Mojoworld render. I do like it. The drawbacks of the image in my opinion are only the low-res textures/materials on both the terrain and buildings. A beautiful ship in a sci-fi scenario is always a nice addition. Aside the small qualms, your render is fantastic.
