3 Flowers
Description: The table, flowers, teahouse treasures, glass and vases are from DAZ3D. The floor was made from 1024 size terrains using Crazy Paving after the tute by David and myself. My setup to test the light of specular convolved HDRIs and how "speculartity" works with IBL lit scenes. Here rendered with soft shadows at 36 rays per pixels and qulity 64. The specular mask was created from an HDRI pano I made in my living the other night. It is the only light. This one renders in less than 12 hours.

I love it. The floor tiles are amazing. this whole piece rocks. The only thing that would improve this is if you could have blurred the reflections a bit. Very good!

Very real looking. I don't know how you would improve it. The tiles look amazing.

The china tableware looks very good, especially with the specularity- I feel like I could reach out and pick up a glass. I can't quite get a sense for the environment just out of the reflections, but it seems great. Maybe a comparison between what the render looks like without specular convolved HDRI would be helpful?

Very good, Horo! It is very realistic and neat. You always show us that limits of Bryce are just genuine.

Your test proved to be successful, Horo, although I think that Bryce is taking too much time to handle the rendering. Soft shadows explains it, or course. Since this was a Specular Test I cannot be too harsh with my comment as I usually am on a finished piece of work. The porcelain models respong good to the hdr's specular but there's something strange happening with the glassy ones. Some sort of partially transparent metal as a result, not crown-glass/crystal look. That was up to you I guess, and my only critique. What wasn't your fault is that the daz table could've been with more fine UV mapping and larger texture. If the model was transphered to you online, I understand the texture size limits. If you continue working on this one, there's only the back part of the image you need to take care of. Too "clean" background now (I wish my living room to be that way though :) ). Good luck and hard work further, Horo :) !

Great work! What an interesting idea to use Crazy Paving for the floor, what made you think of doing that?

JoAJ - thank you. Richter sais it all. The back wall is already boring enough so I tghought I have to do something about the floor. I shouldn't have stopped there.

Richter - always very good tips from you. I haven't noticed the glass. You're right. The reflection setting is far too high. It looks almost like a mirror.
