The Back Room
Description: Whew, this one really hurt, lol. It took 1:11:09 to render using Regular AA. If anyone is trying to figure out what is in the Porthole, it's a picture of a surfer dude.

Ah, the Wurlitzer is super cool! Very nice and friendly room, the fire adds to this impression. The mirror ball at the ceiling with the 4 spots is a beautiful detail. Though the ball itself is not as perfect as it could be. I have a tut on my website "Facetted Mirror Sphere" which I made from the instructions of Caperh who visits these forums from time to time.

Lighting is very nice, too. With a short render time of just over an hour you could try soft shadows and for the spots soft edges. The shadow cast from the plant onto the floor is really very nice.

Great job, Rebel. Oh and the table with the elephants reminds me of diskworld.

Darn, I keep forgetting about the shadows. Thanks Horo. This scene is reminiscence of my much younger years when the bars would close and we would go over to a friends house and party all night.

Very good. You are streadily improving your interior lighting. Love everything about this piece. The only critique is that the sofa seems very flat, the ambient glow is frying it too much, there are no shadows so it has no depth. Not sure how one would fix that other than to employ some radials or something. Wish I was there!
