Overworked
Description: The building is Condemned from DAZ, the skeleton as well and posed on the seat in Studio. The building has several openings, also high up (one was closed with mirrors). The Sunlight shines along with the MoonBlueGrey HDRI through theses openings. Three radials with soft shadows cast some additional light. Rendered with Quality 128 and 16 rpp with soft shadows in a bit over 8 hours using 6 cores in the network.

Very cool Horo. The textures are great. The scene is almost like a photograph except the stairs seem odd. All in all, really great, love it.

Amazing lighting work here. I am speechless. The only thing I might add is that the skeleton helps make this scene into a story, I wish he had been more prominent. 5+

Thank you for your comments. In fact, I set this up to experiment with the idea put forward by ernie on the DAZ forums: painting with negative lights. But I got carried away.

Yes Rashad, the main "subject" of the story is a bit hidden. I did this on purpose in the hope that the shadows will point to it and give the beholder a surprise. It appears that I I have misjudged this a bit.

Oh yes, Rebel - the ladder. I thought it was only me who had a problem with it. It looks like an Escher cube. I should have placed it differently.

I can't believe I missed the main subject of this one. I looked at this for awhile, admiring the textures and features. And, now that Rashad has pointed out the poor skeleton sitting in the chair, I can admire this much more. I'm blaming the stairs for this one, lol. I was looking at the stairs too much to see your little surprise. Good one Horo.
Now, I can't stop looking at this scene, it's brilliant work.

This is really great. The textures you picked and the lighting you used work really well together. I liked how the skeleton is partially hidden; makes it more of a shock when you finally find him.

The level of detail, the subject, and the 'dirty' feel remind me a lot of tonkin's work... which is to say, this is brilliant. Like Rebel, I looked at this one for a long time.
