One Ray of Hope.
Description: I had downloaded this silly farmhouse quite awhile ago, so here it is. This is just a little foolishness going on. I did not go into great detail and used regular AA.

Another Rebel - sorry, I can't help feeling this. A lot is going on here. There are a lot of nice details like - what we call here - "alpine pizzas", cow dropings we step in if we're not cautious when walking on an alpage. The steaming ones are a nuissance, the dried, hardened flat ones are the pizzas, though probably not very delicious to digest - though I haven't tried. There were many times I lied between those pizzas in my army time, reading a book and having the collar of the uniform and my neck licked by cows for the salt. I digress - I like it Rebel, even though you still haven't mastered shadows.

Well, the shadow subject I'm going to ignore from now on. I just don't understand how you can render such a "smashing" images like "River's Edge" with all the needed elements in mind (gradation of plants, earth/dirt and water), complexity of materials and bump used, and right here you "redo" the pale shadows, copy-paste the same farmhouse in the back without rotation (all the animals, trees excluded). Either you forget about these, which to me doesn't seem likely, or you simply choose not to apply them. Why is that I cannot tell.

Of course, don't get me wrong, this image has a lot of detail to quote Horo. I know that the placement of that many objects can keep you busy for quite awhile. And it is a pleasure to the eye in the end, I asure you. Leaving the no-bump-ground aside, in foreground you did a fine job randomizing the models and really give life to the whole setup. However, I can't miss the title of your work too. If the main concept of the image is around that Ray of Hope, I believe the ray has to stand out more pronounced and to have "cause-and-effect" to it, i.e. I see the ray though I don't see where it hits a surface, concentrating its light there. Fading out this way makes it loose its depth and dramatism. "Fun Farmhouse" suits this image more at the moment.

Well guys, I do have shadows and they are set at 90% and I do apologize, I don't know what happened to them. I checked the original Bryce file and they are there, but not very good. I think it's a ground issue that I will have to work on. This shadow thingy is really starting to get to me. Today, I am going to do some testing.

The ray was meant to go into the window, but this house does not have any glass, and I could not get any light to show from the window.

Actually, I was going to name thins "The Funny Farm", but got the idea of putting in the rays at the last moment.

Plus, this was just a "passing time" thingy.

Richter, look again, the animals are rotated and so are the "cow pies".

Wow, the barnyard is certainly busy here. I love the way you have put the cat on the roof - typical cat!! LOL.
