Interesting compositional choice. Very risky even. What works here is the feeling of movement, the cape has a nice lift to it. The garment the man is wearing is surprisingly cool, is it armour of some sort? As I mentioned over at Rendo, seems to me that from a lighting perspective, you need to add a radial or two to lift the shadows a tad.

But the composition still troubles me. I almost get the feeling that his face will be trampled by the horse. I do not see any means for his to steer the horse. His expression looks troubled, as if he is unsure what the heck is going on...very fitting actually.

This one gives me an uneasy feeling. A bold choice to flip the render (or the camera in it) upside down. It's original from my standpoint.

Although I don't think that this is the "natural flow" of falling off a horse. I look closely and see the guy literally under his horse. If you've watched some rodeos with bulls and furious horses, you would know that the cowboy most often get "ejected" to the side and back, and the moment he's that close to the ground, he's actually sever feet away from the horse.

In this "Upside Down" world however maybe people just ride that way :)

Very uncommon and bold scene, nevertheless nicely done. The greenness of the clouds along with the blue sky give an additional feeling of ground and water to balance the sky - which is the ground.
