Where's ma hammock?
Description: Ya, I know, another beach scene, lol. This one is kinda in the un-inhabited area. Most of the flowers you see, I created using "Plant Studio".

This is a very nice scene with warm colours. Perhaps just a trifle more haze towards the horizon. Pity you didn't antialias it. It would be worth the wait. I really like this scene and the flowers look good, too.

Mmm, I did use regular AA. Due to the type of water mat & sky bsk I used, adding any haze or fog did not work.

Really strange. I don't intend to annoy you with my AA remarks. The sea looks very charming this way. The seagul and the stem of the left palm make me think there is an AA-ing issue. The palm leaves, too. But the leaves of the flowers and their blossoms do look good. The sand is always difficult to judge. Perhaps this needs to be rendered premium with at least 16 pixels.

Sorry, but that's not anti-aliased. The white pixel dots on the seagulls' wings, the noisy texture on the palmtree's trunks and step-by-step sharp and bright pixel "build" where the water barely reflects the sky speak of no AA at all. Now Rebel, I'm sure you double checked this option, it's only a simple mark to make, your "Finally Home" image seemed to have no problems with AA at all. But if this AA problem persist when you render from now on, consider reinstalling Bryce.

There's one more thing - make a simple scene, something like a sphere along with one cone etc., and if the renderer doesn't AA it, save it, zip/rar it and send it to me via email. I'm interested whether this is some kind of bug or something went amiss right before your final render.

I must apologize to all concerned. I thought I used AA, but found out I must have missed that step. Today, I used AA and found quite a difference. I will upload the revised version. Must be getting too old, lol.

Glad you found the issue Rebel, as this scene is dynamite! Love everything about it except the coarseness of the pixelation. Agreed with Horo on the haze, however you say you were having an issue with that so lets take one thing at a time for now. AA first, haze later.

Rebel - you might want to set up a scene with a sky and the groundplane, set all the render options you'll use 90% of the time (AA for example) and save this scene with the name "default.br6" in the folder where Bryce is installed. Everytime you start up Bryce, it will load this file and set everything the way you had set it up. Do you really think I consider each time whether AA is engaged or not? I'm too forgetful of that. EDIT: if you use Bryce 5.01 or 5.5, just save the file as "default.br5".
