Strange Planet
Description: At last I have earned my Bachelor of Arts! So now I will have more time to come here and create something new... About this picture: on a distant planet strange bone-like creatures live in the almost endless ocean. After their death their bodies turn into sand, and this sand is their only food with minerals form space... Two spot lights - one form above and one is under the water. All objects here are Xenodream, weawes - grayscale terain map. Planets on the background are 70% Bryce - I just made texture map in Photoshop, applied it to sphere and made this sphere semitransparent, atmosphere is voulumetric material... Did't know where to put this picture, so posted here, in landscapes. Hope You like it.

Congratulation for earning your BA!

This is a uncommon kind of picture. Could be landscape, space or abstract. Interesting idea, nicely done. Good colours.

Thanks, Horo! Most of all I like water here, and it was interesting to play with those planets...

It reminds me of my Colony series, though my carva-aliens lend theirselves on the more haematite-metallic look. Your water does look neat, but the way the waves react to the asteroid collision gives them more thicker substance then the water in our world. Intended or not - this effect is really nice! The red and blue planets are also interesting to behold, although I think that the red shift in your image's color palette somehow distracts the viewers attention from the rest of the scene.

And of course, congratulations for the BA!

Lots of things come to mind as I view this. I feel that each element of this render is specatularly done. I also like the subdued color pallette, not overly saturated. Very nice.

Very nice

Colors are very nice and good mix about hot and cold colors. Shapes are impressive too.

But the impact of the 'meteor' seems to be softly in the water.

Sorry for my english. I'm french.
