Dragon Wars
Description:	Hi. Decided to finally do a sci fi fantasy picture. Dragon is from DAZ and ship model I made in Maya. Clouds are spheres with 'Fuzzy Cloud' texture on it. Changed the volume color to white. There are 10 spheres for varying sizes. Took about 30 minutes to set up and about 45 hours to render. Settings were 'Premium AA, 64 pixels per ray with true ambiance.' Probably didn't need really high settings for this picture but it was fun. Comments welcome. Thanks.

Fascinating idea. The ships are good as usual. The clouds look really fine. The streaks, how did you do them? Dey give the whole thing a sense of speed. Well done.

Really nice, clouds look like Vue-Clouds which I guess you should take as a compliment :) You only had to match the bluish color of the sky with the cloud-shading that now has this purple nuances.

The streaks are possibly a shadow-over-volumetric effect as we know it in Bryce. They might be also post-processing, but Connor didn't mention such in the descr. Good job.

Thanks! Richter, you are right, the clouds are shadows over volumetric clouds. I was actually trying to decide weather or not to take out the shadows in Photoshop but decided to leave them in.

Beautiful picture, Connor! Nice to see your works ind different stile! You not only mastered art of space (I was trying to create something like You, but had an ugly picture:() but, You have good skills in different stiles! Keep going!

Thanks. I thought it might be fun to try something other than space. As for you I bet it was not ugly and if you keep trying it will be very good. Your other pictures prove it, you are very good.

This would make a nice illustration for a story. As always, your ships are really cool! The clouds look really good too. Nice job!

This is a very accomplished render, Connor. Very very good sky. Picture perfect. I am curious about the true Ambience, i do not see why it was necessary here, it likely added alot to render time. The clouds look fantastic. The streaks are something new for me, I think. I do not recognize this effect. I feel like the dragons are capable of outflying these ships!
