Paradise
Description: All I can say is "ouch". This actually took 3 days in the making. I went thru 2 computer crashes, I repainted the car and the motorcycle. About that motorcycle, the guy that designed that to be used with Bryce must have worked for Harley Davidson. You would not believe how many parts it has, I think it goes right down to nuts and bolts, over 150 chrome pieces alone. I ended up rendering the motorcycle 3 times, once because of a crash, another because the Chrome mat I used made it look really rusted so, I went with a Silver mat. I could go on, but it hurts, lol.

Fun

The image is fun, but it seems a little busy, there is a lot going on at the same moment, things that normally make you go "wow" when you see any one of them alone, but here we see a lot at once.

I agree with the feedback from Nightstar, vey few persons would opark a car so close to the waters edge becasue the sand would make the car impossible to move.

Now, on the issue of that motorcycle, I think I recognize that from Daz. There was a discussion about it and it causing crashes because of the modeling. This is a reason why complex models should not be made in Bryce, Bryce has poor mesh collpase which adds huge amounts of memory along w2ith biliions of its bitsy objects. Complex models are much more safely produced outside of Bryce. How did you make the dolphin splashes? I am guessing you used a tree or maybe you used a post processing technique. Either way ther eis some potential for this effect, as water and perhaps as hair or grass. Please elaborate on how that was done. Thanks and great job!

Palms look much better than oin the previous scene. What did you do differently this time? If you added ambient glow, you added just the right amount. However, there are ven better methods than ambiebnt which we will explore at some later time. For now, well done!

First of all, I think here the size of the objects fit. Pity, those dolphins put up an incredible show and the gals are not watching and are more interested in the bike (or the owner sitting in the hut boozing beer).

What I find a bit queer here is the bright ligh with this evening sky. The sun is already rather low, as we see from the shadows cast by the palms. I think it is just the sand that appeard to be lit by a strong floodlight. Also, either the ship's hull is too bright or the outstanding splashes are too dark.

Small detail: the propeller of the aeroplane looks like a solid black disk. In the distance it is to the beholder, it would be completely invisible.

I'm amazed at the endurance you had to put up this scene. Though it is a bit on the busy side, I love it just for that. It is a very merry sort of picture. Keep them comming.

Thank you all. This was meant to be a "fun" scene as Nightst4r put it very correctly. Please remember that this is more of a vision of Paradise for me. I'm disabled and couldn't even use any of the "toys" you see, well, except a couple, lol. Rashadcarter, I have no idea of what I did different to the palms, I think they look better due to the sky and the closeness. Lol, Horo, they gals are waiting for me to get out of the car, then I'll be in the hut boozing beer.
Seriously, I do thank all you guys for your input on my walls. As for the boat, I had to put a couple of bars of light on them, otherwise the boat would not show very good at all. That was one of my problem areas. Still learning.

Splashes

Sorry rashadcarter, I forgot to tell you about the splashes I used for the dolphins. It is an .obp file called "Iwa-shibuki". Don't remember where I downloaded it from, I use a lot of sites to acquire these files.
Hope this helped.

Nice scene, lots of nice models in it. I like the boat in particular.
The car is too bright/reflective. And, as was pointed out it would be better if it was on gravel or something.
I do not care for the dolphin splash, but I think the whale is very nice.
