A Quiet Street in the Spring
Description: Pushing the limits on complexity and realism in Bryce6.1 Radial cluster for soft shadow sunlight skylight via my special skylight hdri. There are a few radials and spots to bounce light around for a fake GI. Render time was horrific to say the least. A full week on my 20ghz monster. It would have taken months on a single core machine. Sad. I used a high ibl quality along with many soft shadow radials and spots along with transparent foliage. Combined it created a long render. Townhouses from Daz, as well as some of the cars. Flowers free from the internet.

Feedback is appreciated. Thanks all for your time.

I can't imagine ever having enough patience to render a scene like this. Really wonderful IMO!

This is a very nice picture at first glance. I wonder whether it was worth the long render time. I mean, it would have taken me a month. We've discussed the flaws in the lighting over at the DAZ forum so I concentrate on the composition. There's no focus, this place is dead. Without adding more models, opening a door in the house opposite would already make a difference. Perhaps a low poly tricycle next to the door. That car that is covered by the tree could be moved into the streat, making it a moving car. No need to put in a driver, because we wouldn't see it anyway. You can make such lovely clouds, why don't we see a bit of one of them?

This is a beautiful picture I would be proud of, if I could do such myself. But it is not finished.

The bark on the tree looks excellent. Unfortunately, the texture is not good on the branches. This is a Bryce tree problem, not your fault.

As great as usual, Rashad! Lightning is very good, as Horo said this scene could be improved, but I like it very much even in this state.

Thanks all for the positive feedback! Yes, thee are some compositional weaknesses in this image, but I feel that as a lighting study it is more or less successful. I will never allow a render to go so long again, it was the setting and soft shadows that really made this render long.

I am plainning some stuff with clouds soon, Horo. I havent' done anything with volumetrics in a while so I feel the call of the sky.

Great realistic scene. I know I am new with Bryce, but I'll submit my comments anyway. I'm having problems visualizing the tree leaves. To me, they are really pale, but great texture. And, the flower bed, too me, that is the only thing that spoils the scene. Also, I agree with Horo about the tree branches, but nothing can be done about those. Please do not get me wrong, but for some reason, the scene kinda looks "dead", it's a great scene, but dead. Maybe go with Horo's suggestions, put in some kid of action thingy.
