As Evening Falls
Description:	Sailing home at the end of the day, the sun has just set as evening falls. Lights have come on and we're looking forward to sitting in the cockpit with a cup of coffee and rum - to me there's nothing in the world as nice as mooring in a pretty anchorage at the end of the day when the wind has dropped and everything is still. Actually I did have a lighthouse on the cliff but it made the whole thing look too busy so took it out again. With hindsight I should have put some ripples behind the ketch but the whole thing took so long to render (for me that is!) that that won't happen now!

Good light. Very moody. The leaves at left could probably do with a bit of transparency. The quality of the tree is not very good, there are unattached leaves. Did you do it with IvyGenerator? The sailing boat in the distance appears to be not firmly set into the water, but that might alo be an illusion. Nevertheless, a very nice landscape render with a lot of detail.

Horo, I should probably have changed that tree but the strange thing about it is that it's exactly the same tree as the ones by the church - a silver birch - frankly I had had enough of messing around with it at the time, but one of these days.......LOL!

As for the boat, I'm pretty sure it was sitting in the water properly and then I put another small radial underneath the water because I thought the water looked a bit too dark just there and I think that might make it look as though it's floating above, I was going to take that light out again but although I knew where it was and could just see it, for some reason no matter what I did it wouldn't let me click on it.

Everything looks great to me. As Horo says, great detail. The only distraction for me is the size of the boat. It appears too ner to be so small, I do not mind the light you placed under the water, I think that was a good idea generally. Excellent composition. Night scenes are probably the hardest. you have captured the mood most effectively!
