Peninsula 2
Description: Thanks all for your comments to the first one. I rotated the material on the fir trees, added sand terrains under water, made all leaves transparent, increased the transparency of the water from 99.6 to 99.8 and gave the groumnd plane under water a sand and vegetation material. I rotated the tree at left, decreased haze density but increased thickness. Fiddled with the sand colour and increased the light output from the HDRI a bit. Finally, I decresed the DOF on the near tree. Rendered with normal AA, the time to render decreased from 46 to 30 hours.

What is the black thingy on the right in the first

things.

Nice upgrade since the original. Still a bit unsure on the closer trees and their relation in size to the boats. The tree in the foreground looks so much better and balances the scene. The ground on whioch it stands needs a higher res on the mat, but thats a minor thing. Great stuff.

Horo, this turned even better then previous one! And I don't know, why, but foreground tree is something I fell in love with! The effect of sun shining through the leaves is GREAT! And about mat for foreground rock - just increase a little frequency of material. Anyway I like this image!

Job well done, Horo. Incredible atmosphere achieved. And it's good to see that with the overall quality improvement, the rendertime also decreased! A rare case. Most of the time improving an image = 2~4x the old rendertime for me.

I know why those trees make the boats to look smaller then they are. It's the leaves of those trees. You can have all kinds of trees anywhere, but how many of them have a leaf-size of a fishing boat. So if there's something to improve on the composition - it is only the leaves.
I forgot to mention it the last time but it seems that a terrain-edge is "looking" at us, maybe some post-work mask will help submergin it again.

All in all - two minor quibbles, the last one may not worth even mentioning. But this work is complete. Yup, job well done.
