Backstreets 1
Description: Playing around with my skylight hdri and my sunlight cluster under complex geometry. There are a few radials placed to add light to the space between the buildings and to provide light under the shades. Model is from Daz3d created by the brilliant Stonemason.

Feedback is appreciated.

I think it looks really great, however the left side of the road might be a little bit bright. Apart from that it looks like a photo.

Too bright on the display of my laptop, but not on my regular screen. The scene is generally made by stonemason, so there is only the lighting and camera placement to comment. Camera is ok. Lighting is also very good. However I do not get an impression of bright sunlight, rather the sky appears to me as being uniformly covered and this is reflected on the light cast, particularly on the building. The shadows are soft and subdued and go along nicely with the light. Very nice render, but for me, it looks not as being a sunny day. Which is nothing bad - quite to the contrary. There is also charm in outdoor renders not in full sunlight. Perhaps I get this model too, I've got a voucher to use and don't know for what.

Thanks all of you for the feedback. I am certain that you are both right about the brightness. I am re-rendering the scene it should be ready shortly. Horo thanks for the detailed review of the lighting and the camera angle. I will play around with some other aspects. I think the new sun psoition in the new render will be a big improvement. And do get this model if you can, it is most excellent and is not nearly as complicated as it appears, Stonemason has grouped everything very efficiently.

A wonderful render of Stonemasons incredible work. Have to agree about the left side being a little too bright, but as a way of balancing a render, I always do the 'Adjustments/Autolevels test in Photoshop. Mostly it gets it right.
What would be really cool, is to pland a Bryce tree somewhere in that scene, to see the contrast between Bryce scene and 3DS scene which is what this looks like.
