Bottled Ship
Description: The HMS Victory is from DAZ3D, the bottle and the table out of the Bryce library. The background and light is from an HDRI I made specifically for this scene: 49 exposures, dynamic range 3423:1. The light probe has a diameter of 6400 pixels and gives just the right amount of blurred appearance. IBL settings: intensity 18, effect 100 and quality 128. Rendered in a bit over 16 hours.

Great!!, thats a really nice one! I do like the reflection of the ship and the bluring of the ship on the shelf. Did you just use only Bryce or Bryce and a painting program as wel?? In any case its 5+
Nice job

The detail and lighting are eye popping for sure. The bottle looks a bit facetted in areas with some poligonal specular spots on the left. Is there a way to smooth it? Also, a copy of Moby Dick on the bookshelf would be a nice addition. ;-)

You make me sick...with envy! Absolutely flawless work on this hdri, the levels are astoundingly real. As observed by Spektyr there is some faceting on the bottle surely, but from a lighting perspective all I can say is WOW! 5/5

Thank you for the generous rating and the nice comments. I've noticed the angularity of the bottle. It is out of the library and crashed Bryce 6.1. I had to export it out of Bryce 5.5. I could not do any better with softening. It is really a show stopper. At least the HDRI came out well - on the second try. I had the panorama head misaligned the first time and couldn't properly stitch the 49 shots. There are also, invisible, grey filters placed to adjust the light from the window.

Sorry, I forget to answer. Pure Bryce 6.1. Only post production is the title.

Super render and I am even starting to understand the lingo. The bottle acts very natural here the extra reflection at the end of the glass gives a very nice appearance to this ship. The question still remains how did you get the ship inside the bottle? Ha
