Nice to see something comming from you Alex. The background looks very photorealistic. It might be a photo. Have you rendered in Bryce or DS? Though I like the background very much, I agree with you that it does not fit the focus. I also think the background implies the light ought to come from right behind (look at the sky).

Well the background is one of the Daz3d's environments. I just used it to give a backdrop. I will change it later. This was a test for the character and outfit. As well as seeing if the lighting that I chose worked or not. I might change the setting for her to be instead of outside, but I'll have to see what I have, and can get to use.

The backdrop does not annoy me at all actualy, except that I can see the poles casting a shadow onto it like a tarp or a skrim. I wonder if Studio allows you to turn off Receive shadows" as in Bryce. I like alot of things about the lighting. I assumed the light on the left was from some nearby source like perhaps a train appraoching a station or something. For me it is not essential in this case that the main light be aligned with the sun, that is unless you wdo intiend it to be sunlight. I like the way you capture the wind with her hair and the tilt of the umbrella as though carried by the wind. Very nice!!

Well that is because I have a light source off to he left casting shadows.

I'm still working on a better scene and better backdrop.
