AntiAliasing
Description: This is Pumeco's Pro Render in action. After I saw the video (included with the sample scene) I was really anxious to try this "render" thingy out. The result is very close to "Final Gathering" lighting algorythm in more advanced renderers like Mental ray for ex. There's this special glow effect, also the precious color bleed which automatically ignites the bryce user's feet and lets him or her "trespass" into a new lighting-tech territory. Managing to work my way around a few drawbacks of the "Pro Render" with medium success I present you some sort of "visualized renderer", namely the Pro one by Pumeco. The letters/text - generated with EleFont, the rest was (modeled in Maya) taken from previous projects of mine. I wasn't going to apply any post-work on the final image, but in the last minute I felt I could spice this one juuuust a little bit with the smoke in the back. So that's it. I personally recommend to anyone who hasn't checked the Pro render yet to download it: (http:/www.pumeco.com/pumeco) and experiment with it because it's really worth it. Have a good everyone and see ya around!

P.S. Horo, thanks for the link, I'm posting it again anyway :)

That looks awesome. The droplet is really good. I like the thing in the front, circuit board? city? with teh wires going through them. and next to the O the ball with the green smoke coming off it looks good.

Awesome job Richter. I love it, the letters almost appear spongy to me. Pro Render is the best way to use True Ambience, other methods do not give reliable results. Love the glowing balls also.

Question, how was the render time?

Great job here. The colour bleed came out exceptionally well. I've performed some tests comparing FakeGI and ProRender over at the DAZ forum some time ago. ProRender does have a bit of an edge over the FakeGI method and it renders quite swiftly if only a very few lights are used. If Len ever sees what you've done here with his system, he'd be delighted.

Thanks everyone!

Yes, Rashad, you've guessed correct - my intentions were to use middle-quality rays per pixel (64rpp) in order to achieve this grainy/spongy look on the P R O letters. So with those 64rpp, Dof and TA and this resolution (1024x576) of the img, the render time was 34mins. No other lights have been used except the "skylight" the Pro Render-er provides by default. 34 mins. rend-time is more than acceptable in my opinion. That is for still imagery of course, I would still need to upgrade my hardware if I wanted 24+ fps animation rendered... and fast.

Horo, I've planned to mail Pumeco (Len) this image and say a few words there, I'll make sure he sees "AntiAliasing" img.
