Sharpened and Ready
Description: Hey, I just joined here after having just been a "browser" for a while. These pencils I made from scratch in Bryce, and I know they're not very good. I tried to get the ridges on them but it didn't turn out well, so I kept them as perfect cylinders.

I think you have done an awesome job here. I would say be careful with the stacking of the pencils as in real life the blue pencil would roll off onto the table due to gravity, it wouold not be suspended on top of the purple one as it is now.

I really like the way you did the wood grain.

Welcome to Bryce. Please become a regular!

Welcome.

Welcome to Bryce5.com. I'm a relative newbie to the site also. Just a suggestion, use a solid terrain for the wood and intersect it with a cylinder, that way you can get a better "sharpened" end. How long have you been using Bryce and what version?

Great start and welcome here. Never mind the blue pencil. It was photographed before it rolled all the way to the table.

Thanks!

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone! Now to respond to some comments:

arch: Thank you.

rashad: Thanks for the advice. I guess I should've thought a bit more realistically when stacking the pencils. I'll try and keep these things in mind next time. The wood grain was just the, I think, light wood material which I think I made a few adjustments on, but it mostly remained the same.

ecurb: Hmmm, I see what you mean. Good idea, and I'll try and improve this picture later if I have the time. Also, I'm not sure exactly what version of Bryce it is other than that it is Bryce5. Don't know if that was the answer you wanted, if not I'm sorry. I've been using Bryce for about a month or so now because I'm taking a Computer Graphics course in school, which is where I'm typing all this... Here's hoping I don't get in trouble or anything.

Horo: Yeah, that's what happened! Haha. Anyway, thank you for the kind words and I hope to enjoy my time here.
