Glow Lit
Description: Massive object can be made glowing if rendered Premium with the True Ambience option selected. This is an idea Pumeco (http:/www.pumeco.com/pumeco) came up with (in the DAZ forums). Here, I have 8 differently coloured cubes just outside of the camera's viewing angle. These cubes are the only light, there is no sun, no ambiance, no radial - everything is black. The objects are within a mirroring sphere. The material for the glow receiving objects must be set in a particular way. This is described in a video tutorial by Pumeco (see web link). Nothing nice but an interesting test.

I see the cubes have been removed from this render as opposed to the one posted on the DAZ3d site. I am very excited about this. The idea of being able to turn any object into a light source is a thing many have been asking DAz to add to Bryce, nice to know that it is already there. This lack of geometry smoothing under TA is most annoying, ait really takes away from an otherwise quite good light technique. I love this and will be testing it myself when I get the chance. I could go on and on but I will not. We will discuss this in further detail later, For now, I must say very nice work indeed!!!!!

Very interesting effect, I am always looking for ways to illuminate my scenes that will enhance the subject without giving an annoying glow or unrealistic shadows. Guess the task this evening is to light a couple of scenes in this manor, especially those that need an eerie glow.
