2 Black Holes
2 Black Holes

2 Black Holes
Description: A long time ago I watched a move called 'Black Hole' I don't remember it very well but I think the idea was that there was an alternate universe on the other side of the black hole. This time there are two black holes and the gravitational pull from both of the have opened up a doorway to an alternate universe. This is the fleet coming through to take over everything. All of the ships were rendered in one scene in Bryce. Background is photoshop. I tried to make the purple thing in Bryce but after a long time I gave up and did it in photoshop. Comments welcome.

Awesome. Really fine work. The only thing I will say is that there is alot of empty space that could be filled in with perhaps a thin distant nebula. No problems from me that you used 2d software for the glow, it works well with our good friend the ambient channel to make it glow of heat!. Nice work here.

The two holes must be orbiting their common center of gravity very quickly. Such small holes have very dramatic and steep gravitationl fall-offs, from 0 to a billion if you get just an smidgeon too close to either one you will be pulled in. What I like is that if the holes are orbiting each other at close to light speed then this arrangement begins to bahave alot like a ring singularity, and those are indeed believed to be potential gateways, provided one can remain perfectly centered with the ring, a little to one side or the other and the holes will pull you back in. As you know it is not the total force but the difference between forces that matters the most. The potential for destroying matter is especially great with a small hole, yet the energy output is equally impressive. In an earlier version you had what appeared to be a lensing effect toward the center of the scene elongating the background stars, I think that in the case of black holes that lensing is essential. I think you should bring a tab bit of the lensing back and the feeling of gravity will be more prominent. Nice thought provoking work.

You can still improve the "holes" a bit with more precise work in PS, but that aside I really like the fleet, detemined to annihilate worlds - that is the impression I get. The stars in the back were better in your previous black hole space entry. Here they seem more dense then expected. Overall, as Rashad stated - thought provoking...

This is looking very nice the work in PhotoShop. The ships look like they are coming from another galaxy. I agree with the other comments as the empty space could use something extra. Overall I think this tells the story you were trying to portray.

Ah, two Black Holes. What makes you so sure they connect to another of the multiverses? It might just be a Worm Hole, you enter the left and are expelled on the right - sort of an accelerator. Nevertheless, nice idea.
