Tron Again
Description: I like the Tank more in this picture and the vive of the city is kinda cool. The sky is, well, terrible but I can not find the Bryce file to change it so I am kinda stuck with it. I thought that making the treads for the tank would be really hard but it only took 20-ish minutes.

Arch,
Maya is always the way to go. Maya at all costs. If you have the program then do install it. It is nice to at least have some basic exposure to a program like Maya because lets face it, Maya is the industry leader because it is amazing, truly amazing, really amazing.

Connor,

For some reason I like this one more tha the other one. The sky looks like a water surface, like we are underwater. the overly thick haze adds to this impression for me. The treads are a significat detail. Nice modeling work there.

At first Maya is a little difficult to use but if you stick with it, it is very worth it. Maya is a great deal of fun and could help you someday if you want a job in this area. You should install it.

Thanks for the comments.

Indeed a good looking cannon :) Right after the modeling comes the texturing work, so a reasonable suggestion would be: either find an appropriate metal plate with decent specularity for the Tank or play with the cel-shading feature which is accessed through the Specular Halo of the material, it has to be 255 for the Red Green Blue.

Models are great, the sky looks some sort of metallic to me. Good idea from Richter about CEL shading for this one. By the end of this week, I will have the tutorial on my website www.horo.ch ready.
