Snow Mountain
Description: I found a real nice mountain lake picture and this was as close as I could match it. I used Vue Studio Pro and just a small amount of contrast with Photo Shop. My first rendition did not have clouds so I added some because I thought Horo would maybe say there is something missing behind the mountains. Ha

Render time was less than 30 minuets using Superior quality.

No, not at this camera angle, it looks good and natural enough how the mountains are presented. There is something funny going on with the clouds at left, like some banding. Very nice picture. A bit fuzzy, but then, Vue renders appear always a bit blurred.

I agree with Horo's comments. Lighting seems a little bit glowsy of ambient, but you know all about that from working in Bryce. I like the vegetation.

This image seems to me a bit more like an oil painting then a photo. Whatever your intentions for the final render were, I really like what I see. Good randomizing of the trees' height and direction of grow. This goes also for the leaves' colors.Very good!

I agree with richter - a bit like a painting. Yeah the lighting setup is very different than in Bryce. For on thing there is a slider to choose between ambient on the left and sunlight on the right.

As far as clouds, if you like the presets, great. If you don't... well it's a steep learning curve using the function generator. It's powerful but TRICKY!
