Great job on making the model I don't really know much about Wings 3D only tried it once some time back. The reflection under the glass looks very nice.

You said you were stuck with Bryce 5 did you know Bryce 5.5 is free or is this what you have?

Very nice, uncommon shape of a wine glass and certainly difficult to drink from it. What I miss is some red light on the table top. Perhaps the light source is on top. Bryce 5 is not outdated, though I would recommend getting the free Bryce 5.5 if you ever intend to use DAZ models.

When one renders a single object I would normally suggest this obj to be positioned in the center of the camera's viewport, but right here I too like how it turned out. Slightly asymmetric with cut-off reflection of the glass. Speaking of the glass I like its refraction, though somehow it seems that TIR wasn't On in your case. I would recommend turning it on with around 6 for Ray depth and 12~24 fo TIR depth options.Oh, and render your image 800 by X for instance :) Keep it up. I too think Bryce 5 isn't outdated.

Nice work. Don't be too disheartened that you only have access to Bryce 5. I use it from time to time beause it can hadle more complex scenes. And if you are prepaired to put in the time setting up the lighting, then you can get just as good output from it as you can bryce6.1. A free upgrade to 5.5 is worth considering, since you get a few bugfixes and the very useful ability to use DAZ models.
