The small image did not look like much but in the larger format it looks wonderful. Red is symbolic of many things but as you mentioned in your keywords blood is very fitting. Some say red is symbolic of action, confidence and courage.

Just for fun I found a site that has the color expert who makes this statement.

How the color red effects us mentally and physically
* Increases enthusiasm
* Stimulates energy
* Encourages action and confidence
* A sense of protection from fears and anxiety

But I am still trying to figure out how one becomes an expert on color. Ha

One point on Tile Optimization. It's not necessary at all. Network Render Manager will automatically break a bitmap render up into large pieces for the clients to render. This cuts down on the network overhead that Tile Optimization uses. I'll have to do a comparison but I expect leaving that option off for all jobs will decrease render time.
