ENOUGH!
ENOUGH!

ENOUGH!
Description: Another attempt with a posterized fractal terrain with my RuinedCity material. The city is enshrouded in a sphere which has a spherical LDRI version of a faked HDRI mapped onto. The base for that picture is the Cone Nebula (NGC2264) which I selected for Rashad because of the cone buildings ;-) The scene is lit by the WoolBall2 HDRI which shines through the sphere. The yellow and dark parts are from the material, the pixelized red from the sphere, the blue and white strips from the HDRI.

Oh my - those gods are a bunch of really mad guys.

I like this alot. I am not even sure why except to note the colors. Perhaps it is the linear streaming of light also that draws me to the image. Nice work Horo!

I agree with rashad I really like the variation in this scene. Those streaming lights are very nice and the colors great. This really added some drama and the buildings look like something in some alien world.

Ahh but it could have used a helicopter or spaceship flying through. Great job.

Reminds me very much of the buildings in bladerunner, but the transparency and the strange lighting makes it more like the kind of images that stay in the eye after peeking outside from behind darkened curtains. The buildings are a bit self contradictory, their shape expresses weight but the materal is more like a light mesh. I would probably like it better if these two elements were more complimentary to one another.

Well, well - I seem not to have been successful enough with this one. Thank you all for your comments. The intent was to create an apocalyptic mood, emphasized by the cross at right. I did not attempt to create anything real but rather something metaphorical. I drew too much attention to the buildings. My fault.
