Chaos Theory 1: IBL
Description: Hi everyone.

I've been in bad shape lately. Between my back trouble and this horrible alergy season making me dizzy as hell I've been spending too much time on my back. I've also been in a creative slump. In an attempt to break this slump I decided to do some experiments with IBL. This is my first experiment.

This image is made with 6 mirrored planes, 1 mirrored sphere and the galileo_probe.hdr. Settings are:
Quality: 64
Intesity: 5
Effect: 10

All render settings are default with Superfine AA (RPP=16)

All comments welcome.

Hey Spektyr, nice to have you back. I could have told which probe you used for the IBL light from its colour hue. It is very nice and fitting. I like your newest entry here. The mirror balls look like diamonds at the first glance. I have the impression of looking from above to a wooden table and I like the DOF effect very much.

Very nice work with the mirrors. I am always am fascinated with the different combinations of reflections that can be done in Bryce.

Sorry to hear about you hay fever I certainly can relate. So far this has been a good spring for me as I not had to take any medications. Looks like you broke that slump with a great work or art.

Thanks Guys!!!!

The way this one came out the spheres look crystal clear transparent instead of reflective. The clarity is so sharp it almost hurts to looks at. ;-)

I'm working on a new one using metaballs so I'm not doing it IBL It would take forever to render. Metaballs take long enough and there's 14 of them in this new image. I'm calling it 'Kalaruma'. I'm going to start using imaginative names instead of my standard descriptives. I think this name fits the new image nicely. ;-)

Yes, I too was fooled, to me the spheres looked like bubbles in glass. So transparent. The hard edges and high contrast gives a crystaline feel. Nice piece and not instantly recognisable as Bryce, something we have been talking about a bit recently. Sorry to hear you have been under the weather, I hope you feel better soon.
