Two Blue Sedans
Description: I am using the Outside HDRI with hight intensity as I have this Sedan in a box and all three sides have the same texture. The open end of the box is were the camera is. I have placed radials in certain locations to try to highlight the body on the car.

The reason for the two scenes was to demonstrate how the materials can affect the reflections and lighting on the car body. The lighting was changed slightly on the top picture as I lowered the radial down by the front bumper. I was just going to post the bottom view but decided to see what the Sedan would look like with just simple colors for the bottom plane and the cube enclosure.

This is another practice lighting test so am open for suggestions.

The hdri is working wonders. Excellent progression on the lighting front. For me the hdri cheat is very feasible here because the room we are in is not important, only the model placed within the room. The ibl or a light dome would be the perfect solution and you have wisely employed it. This is for me by far the best of the Sedan series. Wow!

Definate improvements. In the upper image the shadows under the car interact very pleasingly with the ground material, these are somewhat lost in the lower image because of the reflection. The bodywork on the lower image, because of the background has turned out better I feel. Intereseting.

I can only echo David. There are very nice soft shadows on the inside of the right rear door. The metal is better on the lower picture. I think the wall is a bit "busy", though it is a very nice pattern and shows nicely on the car. The floor on the lower picture is a bit strongly reflective. If you put a light under the car, we could see the underside mirrored and that would be interesting.

Thanks for the comments. It took 12 hours to render the bottom scene and about 6 hour for the top scene but it could be that I forgot to use the (high Priority) on the bottom one.

Wow David never said it looked wooden nor did he comment on the FOV which he seems to be particular about.

Horo, No lights under the car as I am going to put my Sedan back in storage. I am working on the chess scene, remember someone wanted some action on the board. Ha
