Ballet Of Light Animation 2
Description: Here's version 2 of my Ballet Of Light animation series. I'm sort of leaning towards the first one as being better but this ine is pretty cool too. ;-)

http://www.spektyr.com/slides/Ballet%20Of%20Light%20Animation%202.html

Here's a link to the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack needed to view this animation.

All comments welcome.

Version 3 will use 2 of my rainbow light rings rotating in opposite directions creating some very cool color morphing and should be complete some time this weekend.

Very nice animation. Does it take you long to render these abstracts?

Thanks Render Man!!!!!

At 400x400 using Normal AA at 30 fps, 3600 frames total, it took about 40 hours spread across 3 systems.

1.8 Ghz P4
1.13 Ghz P3m
Dual 700 Mhz P3

It takes a while on these older systems. I need some Hot Rod machines to increase my work flow. ;-)

Vey quiet type of animation, there is a bit of exitement with the "flame explosions" in the second part. I like the tranquility. The orange bands have a lot of noise, but this most probably comes from the coder. Nice job, I really like it.

Very sci-fi look here... Horo uses a good word "quiet" to describe the animation. Yes, in space is quiet, too quiet which can be disturbing also. But the yellow-orange gamma very much compensates for that. I like this one and the previous one equally, they both have something I'm quite fond of so.. Well done!

Thanks, Guys!!!!!

Version 3 is about 60% complete. I expect it to be done early tomorrow morning while I'm asleep. I'll post it tomorrow when I get up. It should be a hybrid of this type of animation and Rainbow Dimensions with a lot of morphing colors. It should be pretty cool. ;-)

The "flame explosions" mentioned by Horo, are indeed very impressive, and nicely contrasted by the "quiet" and wonderfully smooth transitions the preceed them. I wonder if a way could be figured to set your piece to music, then of course the challenge would be to get the music and the image to scynchronise... Looking at this piece I can almost hear music, something Wagnarian?

Thanks, David!!!!

It would need something slow, dreamy and electronic. Maybe I can have Jan Hammer or Brian Eno whip something up. ;-)
