Ballet Of Light Animation 1
Description: Here is the first version of the new animation. It's not quite as good as I wanted so I'm doing another that should be more visually impressive. This is 400x400, 30fps, Normal AA, Xvid HQ.

Here's a link to the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack needed to view the amination.

Thanks for not only showing it on your website animated but also make it available for download.

This is the smoothest animation you did so far and it appears to me the best thought out. It is not just beautiful, it is changing and interesting. We have the flower, the "snakes" and the "fireworks". A fiver for sure. Outstanding job, this one, man. Keep it up. You clearly progress.

Thanks Horo!!!!!!

Version 2 will be done by tomorrow morning. It won't have that shrinkage that this one has and the patterns should be much closer to the original images. It will be 2 minutes long again with the same settings.

Hypnotic, reminds me very much of fractals, in not being particularly 3D but at times hinting at it. Amazingly amazing!

Thanks David!!!!

Just think of what I'll be doing when I get the BOXX systems I want. one 3D BOXX workstation and 4 Render BOXX servers. They aught to speed things up substantially. ;-)

Spektyr,

How many computers are you actually buying? I learned from Horo that when using lightning it will only use one core on perpherial machines. You could have 3 quadcore linked together. You will use all 4 cores on the first machine but only one core on the other two machines. This adds up to a major waste in processing power on peripheral machines. You could alsways tile the image onto the other systems to use full resources. But compiling could become a drag, especially on a animation. Looks like right now the best bet is to cram as much processing power as possible into your primary system and do not rely too much on network rendering because you will hardly be able to use perpherial computers at any great efiicency.

I just looked at the website for Boxx systems. I think you can get a better price. I am running a dual intel quad core 2.5ghz system and I only paid $3,035 with shipping and warranties. I did not purchase a monitor nor a 56k modem as I have a high speed connection there is no need for a modem. The same computer configuration as mine costs about $3,700 on the Boxx website. Big difference in price for ideally the same system.

Before you spend the money please just look at the link below. @XI is the compnay name and the configuration page is very specific and detailed. It gives you many more options than BOXX seems to. Test it out, configure your system and see how it compares in features and price. It's your money, you owe it to yourself to investigate Axi. My system has brought me so much joy I have had no problems:

As if I'm inside a beehive, Spektyr. The colors and the way light/mirrors are animated remind me more of a honey or amber as a final visual result. The animation starts with transformations similar to your previous entries, but the further the play evolves, the more interesting things happen!

Rashad-
I realize that Lightning only uses one core but I'm thinking of the future when I'll be getting into other software that will support multiprocessor systems using render clients. I don't necessarily have to buy BOXX systems so I'll take a look that @XI site. I'm looking for the fastest rendering systems I can get. I don't know when I'll finally get my SSD coming in but the longer they take to give it to me the bigger the retroactive check will be so I'll have enough money to build a super fast render farm. :-)

Richter-
Thank you!!! Once I get the render farm put together I can work with longer aminations at full production size and more processor intensive effects. I'd love to start working more with metaballs and high TIR transparencies. Until then I'll use what I have now and get those other two systems out of storage when I move into the master bedroom.

465 frames left on version 3. Good night all!
