Fire Dancer
Description:	A fuzzy reflective torus inside a reflecitve transparent sphere with the camera. No lighting as such, just the sky settings, which admittedly were carefully selected (took about three hours to set up the scene). Rendered in about 12 hours with DOF effect. The DOF worked well, dispite not being entirely sure what was going to be in focus and what was not, what with all the mirrors and all.

Those torii work a treat. This is a beautiful picture to behold. The DOF effect is spot on. This experiment earns you another 5/5 from us.

This is absolutely GORGEOUS, David!!! I love the color combination! Pastel gold and blue. Nice fluid effect and DOF! This is a 5er for sure!!!!

David, what is a DOF effect?
Can you explain what you mean by "12 hours to render" is that time the CPU took to produce the final image?

DOF = depth of field, a premium render effect
12 hours to render = the time taken to produce the final image (excluding time taken composing the scene in bryce) - a reasonable render time, as you would expect from a simple scene, with DOF applied. I've had 500 hours before with DOF. Which I'm not rushing to duplicate.

Impressive work, indeed! Your kind of abstraction. The image is more then worth the waiting. Very clever idea to combine fuzzy material and dof with mirrors. Amazing piece of art. I'm voting highest marks too!
