Glass Flower 1
Description: Here's something simple yet pleasing. It uses the Mystery Object I did in Carrara a while back augmented by reflection to create a simple 3D flower-like image. It was a quck render too, about 30 minutes at RPP=36.

BTW, my apologies for not leaving too many feedbacks lately. My back has been in really bad shape and I can't spend too much time sitting. Hopefully it will clear up soon when the weather finally stays warm.

Thanks Adrian!

It's been a while since I created something new and this was an easy one. The result is quite pleasing. I wish I'd done this one sooner so I could submit it for ELEMENTAL 3 but that's ok. Maybe Ballistic will take my suggestion and do a book focusing on digital abstracts. Then all my abstract buddies here will have a better chance to reach a global audience. ;-)

I like it alot. Mind if I play around with this theme? It seems that its not the objects them self that make it great (though it is good), its more of the mats and outstanding lights that makes it stand out.

Very warm, very heartlike, could go as an emblem for love. Beauty in simplicity. This is a pure 5/5 for me.

I agree. This is excellent. It has a magical red glow about it that radiates heat. Interesting how warm the image appears with these dark colors. Very nice. You seem like you are having fun.

Thanks Guys,

FoxBoy-
You can play around with any theme you like. Copyrights only protect a posted image and I'm not going to claim ownership of an idea. ;-)

Rashad-

Thanks! And I always have fun creating these images. The way I see it, in my position, without fun what would be the point? ;-)

I guess the next step will be animating it, right? Such gentle and smooth reddish nuances...

Thanks Guys!

I suppose I could experiment with animating it. I'll have to think about this for a while. I'd like to work out a mobile camera setup......hmmmmm

Pleasing image. I don't want you to think I'm ignoring your abstract work, I just find it very difficult to contribute anything critically to it. You choose good colour combinations and make attractive symetrical compositions. It's hard to fault really!

Thank you, David!

I'm honored by your compliment. :-)

I'm taking Richter's hint and rendering what should be a pretty interesting animation based on this image. I'm making it 1 minute at 30fps with normal AA. It should be ready in a couple of days. :-)
