Description:	No artwork - a promo for the object ?rip-cage 5?? available on my website (Raytracing > Resources > Objects > Page 2). During development, place the cage at the same position as the camera, move the camera to find the bright light sources in an HDRI. This facilitates the rotation of the HDRI to light your scene where you want it. Once everything is set, delete the cage. Here, I placed some transparent 2D faces and 2D disks as well as spheres and fooled around with refraction indices. The backdrop is a recent selfmade HDRI's and it is the only light source. The render was quite speedy but the result very flat. I therefore converted it into an HDRI and applied a local tone-mapper while converting down from 96 to 24 bits/pixel. The rendered picture was enhanced using the auto color correction of Photoshop. This picture and the tone-mapped one were than mixed 50%/50% in PhotoImpact.
