Unfinished City
Description: Hi I am making a city in Bryce. It has the same city parts as the previous city that I uploaded ( long time ago). I am trying to make a much larger city. I think that it looks a little busy everywhere but I think it will be good later. Comments are welcome as usual. Thanks.

Looking good so far. I have built a few cities in my day and it is so much fun! I would suggest an idea or two for your construction of this scene. I do not know to what scale you intend to grow this city. I have a feeling you want to push it further than you have in the past. If you have a large sprawling city in mind then please heed my advice. As you are building the scene in Bryce you are probably dealing with alot of boolean objects. Your scene could easily end up with thousands of individual objects all hidden within groups.

My approach would be to first set up some basic lighting, in that you need to decide how intense the direct sunlight will be. After that I would then begin to apply textures to just one instance of each building type so that it looks good under this light. I would build the scene with materials already intact. If you wait until the end you could have an overwhelming amount of meshes.

Careful of ambient glow also. In a city the only place where there should be ambient glow should be the windows of the buildings. To optimize the lighting in the scene you will need to use about 5 or 6 radial lights around the city to provide real light from multiple sides. the result will be much more realism. Good Luck.

Strange city, a mix of some Middle East culture architecture and science fiction. I love it because of its strangeness. I think Rashad gave you a couple of good advises. If you are going to make a full scene out of this city, it will keep you busy for a while. But by all means, grow this to to something complete. There is great potential.

Very interesting arraignment looks like allot of work.
I would be very curious to see the final product. I an trying to think what kind of materials you are going to add to these buildings.

The way you gathered your objects seems like you're taking things seriously and you're getting ready for some contruction work. The above advices I very much agree to. I can only add that for a city an obvious building randomization is required. Start with the lowest ones and make sure that there's enough space between them in order to simulate the streets appropriately. The higher the buildings get, the greater the distance has to be between them, especially the ones with the propeller thingy. Good luck!
