Beautiful picture. I like the high contrast lighting you employed here. The mix of green and yellow grass is very nice. The only quibbles I have are the angularity of the leaves and rocks. Try to smooth them by clicking on the [E] button for the objects. But I do like your work otherwise very much and the camera angle is well choosen.

Your skills are a force to be reackoned with. I think i spelled that wrong but anyhow, excellent as always from you. The water is great but the waves do not fit the scale of the image. The waves in shallow water like this will come from the wind and not from undercurrents so the wave should be much smaller.

Horo's suggestions about the mesh smoothing little letter E is right on. The plants and rocks will gain alot of benefit.

I too like the high contrast of the render in that you have not fallen for the ambient glow that ruins alot of renders. Though the ambient channel is not a realistic approach to fixing the undersides of the plants blades and leaves there are more physically accurate methods that will get you further in realism if you so desire.

If you might be willing to indulge me, please check out the material exchange. You will see the templates I have created for introducing Light thru transparency, or Sub Surface Scatter for more life-like foliage. You may have noticed that real leaves interact with light in a very special way and can even glow in response to light. This glow is not due to ambience but due to light bouncing around within the thin memebrane of the water filled leaf. The refraction of the water creates the glow. For your scene I think template 1 will give you a good starting place. Apply it to just a couple grass meshes and play around with it, see if you like it. You hopefully will find that this special unique form of transparency gives the blades the impression of being softer, organic, water filled entities. It will have a profound impact on the way the light moves around within the scene. It will also increae render time but not to the point of discouragement. In a scene this well composed there is no reason not to go for the best effects you can produce.

Good suggestions have been made. I can't add much. The rocks need some more convincing materials on them, with a fair amount of bump too. As everywhere in scene actually. The tree trunks look best in your material setup. The colors, as far as green is concerned seem fine, the purple stays too saturated though and that draws too much uneeded attention to those bushes. Minor things - you can deal with them easily. Keep going...
