It doesn't necessarily need to be elaborate - this simple scene is very charming.

Thanks for the comments. What do you think? Some artists say that value and simplicity is the key to a good picture. I certainly don't claim to be an artist but I do enjoy doing digital art as I find it very relaxing.

You and I have been discussing the landing of objects onto terrains in the Daz forums. I just now put the name together. Nice to talk with you over on this side. Anyhow, those stones are very nice! Wherever did you find those? Would you be willing to share them in the material exchange? Also, I think you might look into making the turtle look even more natural. The turtle has a color image for it's material. You need to make sure that you use that image to form a bump map by making sure both channels have the image loaded. If you want a quick reference making bump maps from everyday photos look up my leaf template 2 from the material exchange http://www.bryce5.com/details.php?image_id=2041. It shows exactly how to extract bump info from an image in bryce. Anyhow, once you apply a bump, then I would consider a touch of specualrity so that the turtle looks a touch wet.

On the subject of trees and the eco system work around, here is a link to an image I posted that featured and tested the theory of the effect http://www.bryce5.com/details.php?image_id=2169&mode=search. I used papaya leaves because of they have many protrusions that I used to represent distant trees. The trees themselves are submerged enough to hide the trunk and branches. Nice talking with you!

Yes I am still on the landing objects topic with cyberwolf as he is giving me some ideas some other aspects Bryce. I will have to honest and say the rocks were a generated when I put a rock in the scene. Ha And when I saw it I said very nice and then remembered Horo's water mat which had the similar color. So I duplicated the stone several times and rotated then and added the turtle and dragonfly.

I just saved you mat to my desktop so will check it out later. I have been spending hours in the materials lab trying to grasp the concepts of how it all works.

Those trees are very impressive. It is nice to see what you were sharing with me on how trees branches can work in an environment.

I will see if I can figure out how to get this material of the rock in the materials exchange as this is all new to me.
