I think this lighting set-up is very effective and intimate. I think you might consider ways to add more elevation levels. Other than that it looks like it will be a smash hit as you add more elements.

Yes, I agree with Rashad: the ground is the weakest part - not the material but the flatness. Though it might be right because I have the impression of looking at a stage, not a countryside. This is probably because of the way how the left and right parts develop. Nevertheless, this is an interesting composition and I do like the subject matter. One wonders what story lies behind the picture.
