Spektyr Web Link Button
Description: This is a web linking button I just made. I would like to ask everyone who is willing to place a link to my web site to use this button for the link. Just reduce it to an appropriate size. I will reciprocate by placing a link to your site on my home page. Just post a button you wish me to use or email it to me at admin@spektyr.com

Thank you in advance.

I've also posted a redesigned site format that is up and active now. All comments on it will be appreciated. :-)

Thanks Gat!

I'm uploading the site again. It has better medium sized image quality and it also will link from the medium image to the full sized original. It'll take some time for whole thing to upload so give it an hour before you check it again.

As far as html code for the link goes, I would need to know a few things. First, I assume you want to use a source image located on my site and if so I need to know the dimensions you need for the image and whether you want it alligned left, right or center. It's so much simpler if you use a page editor like Frontpage, the one I'm using to set up the links and counter. Then you could use a locally saved copy of the image on your server.

A typical link code if you want the link to be centered on a line would be:
<p align="center"><a href="http://www.spektyr.com/">
<img border="0" src="http://www.spektyr.com/res/SpektyrButton.jpg" width="116" height="50"></a></p>

The image isn't on my server yet so this won't work right now. I have a 116x50 copy I'll upload when the site is finished uploading. I'll let you know here when it's there. I hope this helps you.

I am currently overwhauling my site, the links section will come next and I contemplated a links sub-section dedicated to "raytracers" I know. I would, of course, never use a tool, least Frontpage, to do my pages. I write them in a text editor to be in control of everything. Just a detail: <p align="center"><img src=... won't center the picture in each browser. <p><center><img src=... will.

AH! Thanks Horo!

So you do it all in code? You're good! I'd have to take a refresher course in the latest HTML before I'd try that and I don't know if my memory could handle it. It seems my brain, which is the size of a planet (notice I never say what size that planet is), is pretty full of the useless nonsense that our society is feeding us in an attempt to keep us so confused we don't realize we're being taken for a ride and I can't fit much more in it (huff puff gasp).

I guess the easiest way to do this is also the most time consuming but in the end it will accomplish my goal. If you look at the 'Alien Realm' images you will see that I've changed the page title, the header at the top, and I got rid of that glaring white border. It'll take a while to adjust them all and then I can add new image files individually, adjusting them before I post them. I'll also be including the animation files later.
