This could be made to a very nice still life if jug and plate weren't so near the picture edges. Very natural looking table-top - a bit like a floor, though. Nicely lit.

I agree with Horo about th9is being a valuable still life.

I would only add that I have found a sort of unwritten rule when it comes to scenes that feature both strong sunlight coming in through the window, and indoor light. I have found images that feature these mixed types of light are most believeable when the sunlight intensity clearly overpowers the indoor lights in intenisty. Why? The sun is so many millions of times more powerful than any manmade lightsource, it is only in the evening that human light sources can rival the brightness of the direct sun. I say all of this to say that if you lower the indoor lights just a little bit in comparison to the outdoor light coming from the sun, the image will look better, the inside will look more of being inside and enclosed, as now the lighting is so even from above and from the sides of the jug and plate that it almost looks like the scene may be indoor and outdoor at the same time, like on a porch or something. If this is yyour goal then it's more or less on track. But if we are in an enclosed kitchen and we just happen to be standing near a window, then the sunlight should appear to be a few times brighter than the indoor lights. The more intense the light, the more obvious it's bouncing will be due to the added brightness. This means that sunlight bounces more than dim indoor lights usually do. This is why the added brigtness from all sides makes it look like an outdoor image.

I think I have to agree with Rashad about the light - he talks a lot of sense. The material for the just and the plate look excellent, I'm less convinced by the tiles or the background. I think maybe the pattern might also be a bit too much, overpowered and playing tricks with the scale. Overall, a pleasing still life with a lot of potential evident.
