3 Coloured Spheres Mk.2
3 Coloured Spheres Mk.2

3 Coloured Spheres Mk.2
Description: The recommendations given for the first try were worthwhile to follow. The Girl got a radial with her in the sphere. The bump of the groundplane looked ambiguous and I inverted the bump. The HDRI was rotated by 36? to move the reflections out of the way of The Girl and to enhance the triangle-feel with the reflections. The changed shadow patterns demanded rendering with a quality setting of 1024 (vice 256).

Much improved over the original. The light show up the girl nicely and the reflections bring the whole scene to life. I particularly like the way you have composed the refections on the floor to reinforce the overall composition. A well thought out and finished piece. 5/5 from me.

I love the way the HDRI works here. I just have one problem and I know it has nothing to do with your image. For some odd reason I'm getting horrible resolution problems on all web images. I know it isn't the browser since I'm getting the same problem in IE7 and Opera. I just finished reinstalling the OS on this system. I tried it on another system and there's no problem. To quote a line from every Star Wars movie ever made, "I have a bad feeling about this." :-(

The weirdness continues.

I just went up on my Liquid Colors 3 image and it displayed perfectly. The thumbnail is messed up but the large image is ok. How the heck can that be?

I got it!

Don't worry. This is the last time I'll mention this here. The trouble was caused by the Venturi client I installed for my wireless broadband connection. I had it set to the fasted speed and it was reducing the resolution of the images. After I uninstalled it I was still seeing the low res images, which were being displayed from the browser cache. I cleared out the cache and now I'm ok. Sorry for this tech interlude. ;-)

Very very good. You rarely revise your scenes but this one was a wise choice! I like all of the changes you have made.

In the previous render the Girl seemed to be falling, in this one she is almost "swimming" upwards, reaching for something above. The shadows on the torso make this girl look toon/cell-shaded in this area..interesting. Excellent hdr probe. What about some other figures or geometry put into the green and the read spheres? Just wondering...
