Liquid Colors AVI 2
Liquid Colors AVI 2

Liquid Colors AVI 2
Description: Considering the fact that I had to stop rendering a few times this one still took a week to render. It's larger than the first one (480x360), RPP=36 and the DIVX Pro codec was set to the 1080HD profile at Quality=10. It looks pretty clean but there is still this jittery boundry moving through it that I feel ruins it a bit. I won't call it a failure because in spite of this flaw it still looks pretty cool and it's the cleanest animation I've done so far. ;-)

All comments welcome.

I think this work is just plain beautiful Spektyr. I was looking through your gallery earlier today and the progression from single colored geometric designs to these organic living moving designs is really cool to witness. You are always making movies I notice. Film maker at heart? 5/5

I've collected 17 movies with over 1/4 GB HD footprint from you and I fully agree with Rashad: it's your best yet. There is a lot of charm in the asymetry. A well earned fiver. Keep'em comming, man - don't be shy.

Thank you Rashad!

Perhaps I am a filmmaker at heart. ;-)

I find my creative inspiration pulling me in that direction. My only real obstacle right now is the lack of equipment fast enough to render production quality animations in a reasonable amount of time. My ?Dance of the Spheres? project, when I finally have the super render farm I want (say at least four 1333 FSB 3Ghz Xeon systems with 2 gig each of the fastest ram they take), will be all meatballs and we all know how they slow down rendering. I want that one to be so impressive that animationtrip.com will be begging me to let them put it in one of their DVD productions. ;-)

Thanks Horo!

Know anywhere I can get a grant of say $5,000,000 to help me further my animation endeavours? I'm playing with the idea of creating a 3D animated Ringworld movie. LOL ;-)

Hey, you have to admit I'm ambitious. LOL

Thank you Gat!

Well, what can I say? I'm my own worst critic. Then again, aren't we all? ;-)

I'm going to do a new one and see if I can top this one. I have the most fun when I'm experimenting, after all. :-)

Well Spektyr, your animations surely fit to your nickname, where "spektyr" in my language means spectral... without excluding any of the known color nuances! I'm also impressed here. A really fine addition to the gallery you should be proud of. Top marks from me.

Thank you Richter!

I'm very flattered by your comment. I coined the name 'spektyr' back in the 70's for a much darker reason but, now that you mention it, it fits me in a more positive manner now. ;-)

When I did 'Golden Infinity' I touched upon a realm that eventually sucked me in. I feel that my creative journey into the use of reflection and color to produce images that truly astound me is only just begining. I'm really getting into this animation phase. Once I get the high performance render network I need I'll really pull out all the stops and go crazy with it. LOL ;-)

The still image looks very good, no jaggyness as we have seen from previous experiments involving metasphere. I wonder what it looks like animated... but my computer will not let me find out. I don't know why. It is very full of stuff and I'm frightened to twiddle with anything in case I break it. You are clearly the master of the psycodelic. Have you looked at The Movies? It is on Steam. I've played it but never got anything approaching a sensible scene out of it. Maybe with some skill at film making it might be possible? Also, I understand that it is possible to import your own images to dress the sets... which opens some opportunities to use bryce skills. Again, I've never had the time or inclination to explore this avenue. But well... it is something to think about.
