Your Turn, Nappy
Description: This image has relatively big amount of postwork - I just installed latest version of GIMP and played with its filters.. Basically it's the same scene/light setting as "Victory1" but I've replicated the ship and added "Dover cliffs" in the background. In 2D postwork I've added some foam to the wake, applied "heat" filter, sharpened, and slightly smoodged in some areas.

Alot of really nice things are going on here. The models are interacting very well with the haze field. The terrain used for the water functions extremely well. The boat is as always very well done. The sails look very much of fabric. The foam on the water is excellent. The boats even seem to list to one side in response to the waves! terrific. Was the scene lit ibl?

The postwork seems good. I am not sure if the sharpen filter is helping. The "heat" filter looks similar to a fade correction in psp, a very useful tool for making the light feel like real sunlight. The sky is fine, but I wish bryce was better at skies. some nice cumulus would have gone well with this sky. All in all, a 5 for sure!

The sea looks excellent, the model is nicely lit. I like the land or icebergs in the mist to the right. The sky is excellent considering the limitations Bryce has in that department. My vote is a fiver for the sea.

Great looking sea, cliffs are a nice compositional addition, the sky - I agree with Rashad - is fine but would be improved by being less "flat".

Aside from volumetrics I'm not sure what more popgrif might do to remedy the sky flatness. He has already wisely chosen his viewing angle, any chance of beating that flatness requires the camera be angled "up" toward the sky as he has already done here. The clouds procedural might benefit from some specifying, but even still there is not much more one could expect. That's the main reason I was asking if the scene was lit ibl,as volumetrics do not shade properly when lit with ibl. Standard lighting methods provide great results with volumetrics.

Thanx for your comments, yes scene is IBL-lit. I guess that Heat filter flattened the sky a bit, but I never really liked Bryce's sky so.. the next step is compositing Bryce scenes with Terragen skies.
