Waiting
Description: Along similar lines to previous images, a mixture of render and postwork in PSP8. Sharpening and edge detection used to bring out "grain" in the image as a contast to the pefection of the rendered lighting. Horo's jeeprobe.hdr for light, quality 32 with soft shadows enabled. A single magenta raidal in the lamp, aslo soft shadows, and a blueish sun. The main constuction is actually orange but the coloured light balance corrects this and some ambient is employed with the yellow sections to make them slightly glowing. Overall the aim was to create a visually "heavy" structure to be offset against the light two dimensional figures - again edge decection was used to pick out the edges of the figures and ambient channel gives them their "ready brek" glow.

I really like it. The colors, the lighting...excellent choices. The bumpmapping is quite effective and subtle. The colored lights are setting the mood very effectively.

The balance between full render and the "hand drawn" themes has swayed nicely toward the full render, with just enough wireframe left over to keep that concept alive in this work.

There is a subtle war at play with those colored lights. It's nice that you used blue along with the warm colors this time, helps make this piece different from the others. The pink serves as a very warm and inviting mood setter. The blue of course with it's sterilizing effects. Balance seems good between the two. The reflections are well tempered and have the effect of adding internal sense and greater realism to the scene. That floor is fantastic.

The silhouettes are my only quibble. They are absolutely great generally, but I am feeling that something to specify her is missing. I think that the poses might benefit from more specificity. It occurs to me that we should also fall in love with her just as our architect has from what her poses communicate about her as a unique person. Easier said than done, admittedly. Posing is real tough, and not every poses makes a good silhouette. I just wonder if the silhouettes could be used to tell us something more specific about her?

As is the scene is a 5/5!

You continue with this kind of pictures and I must say you improve with every step you take. This one is the best of all yet - at least I like it best - because there are so nice pastell colours. The silhouettes somehow clash with the rest but I would not go so far as Rashad and make them the reason of some quiblbes. Actually, those shadows from the earlier pictures evolved to something more substantial - dark and well outlined. They are more like real cardboard figures now than dreamy schemes. The previous shadows now are subtantial enough to cast shadows by themselves. It is worth a fiver for sure.

Thank you for your kind suggestions, yes, figures I find very tricky, every aspect, so you see I'm approching the subject from a tangent. I will certainly have a go at poseing them, but I can't make any promises about posting the results!

Don't sweat it too much David, the posing thing. Too much time spent on that could spoil all of the fun so really do not bend yourself over it. The poses were the only thing I could think of to comment on, definet nitpicking on a very well rendered theme. I think too it is my knowledge of the poses Daz offers that might be influencing my comment. Non Dazzlers would not have made such a comment. I agree with Horo that this is the best in the series. You make it look easy David. Your skills are a true joy to behold.

On a side note, I feel like I see a potential scene for a parlor or "beauty shop" as we call them in the 'hood." I think it is the light and the floors that give me that impression, along with the female forms all over the place.

Fiver. I love how image is fading into white, but keeps it's 3D "feeling".
I preferred when Vicky was the shadow only - IMHO she's sligtly too distinctive. Her pose looks OK to me.
