Foocuus!
Description: This is second part of my "What fantasy heroes do.." series. Mage Vitomir and his colleague sorceress Tzellinah went to ancient dungeon searching for legendary treasure of king Dezmod. But there's nothing - not even a monster! :-O :-P So Tzellinah used magic to locate any traces. Vitomir on other hand started watching the lightrays passing her robe (best visible when image is enlarged to full size) Looking on this image you should hear this "conversation":
Tzellinah: "I'll check this wall..."
Vitomir: -
T: "come, help me with this spell..."
V: -
T(loosing patience): "hey, come here would you?!"
V: -
T(looking behind on Vitomir, angry): "FOOCUUS!!, for Pete's sake"

Alot of cool things going on here with the lighting. The only thing i might suggest is to see if there is any way to soften the edges of the light rays, they seem very sharp. I have no idea what this glowing thing is in fron of her but ut reminds me of the old WonderWoman episodes when she would spin around and go from normal woman to Wonder Woman. I also wish Victoria had a less neutral facial expression. Her body is very dynamic and I wish i saw that in her face. Is there something going on with her feet? Great work over-all, as is customary from you.

The hair is quite nice, so is the semi-transparent dress. I think the hard edges of the light rays was a very good choice (sorry Rashad). Also, the floor is very nice. Although I like what you've done here, I somehow seem to miss the point of what this picture is about. I don't understand the function of the busts.

The heads keep on flyin'! Yes, only a woman can cause that many male heads flying :))) or Mike Tyson. Nice picture and nice story also. I agree with the comments above. Concerning the lightrays I think both Horo and Rashad are right, just mix the two suggestions - let the rays that are near around the sleeves and the body of the sorceress be hard-edged, and those rays, which are more "distant" from the figure to be softer. Very nice ground texture. I'd love to see its bumpiness triggered by the light in scene. Unfortunaly I see no bump. Anyway, shadows are soft, which is a good thing. Knowing that you care about details (Macon extravaganza is a good ex.) I have to admit that the wall would benefit from a torch or something else in order to "break" the emptyness there. It just seems a bit unfinished. So don't cast a spell on me for giving you 4/5. You can do better than that, buddy ;)

thx

Thanks for your comments, they gave me some food for thinking..;)
This image was made mostly as "testing ground" for lighting effects in Carrara. Lightrays are made with Lightcone effect of white spotlight targeting the camera. Victoria, her stuff and the heads are just objects to float inside the cone. It seems that F/X attracted too much of my attention to make succesful image, but it's fun to use. Maybe it should have warning "Use with caucion" :)
