Mysterious 12 Animation 1
Description: All I'm going to say is you have to see this one to believe it. The file is a bit bigger since it's at 400x300 for 20 seconds at 20fps and compressed with Divx Pro at 720HD maximum quality. The file is a little less than 8.5 meg.

I'm planning a sequel (hehe) that should look even wilder but I'll put that off until tomorrow and let you just drink this one in for now. It's a real liquid metal color fest. ;-)

All comments welcome.

The color transition is beautiful. Can you imagine how this would look as texture on a model? Animated? Or projected from light on to an object? With caustics and full lighting? And lots of reflective surfaces? Disco lights and lasers don't even come close to this!

Thank you very much, Gat!

It's a pity these take so long to render. I'm dying to see what the sequel will look like. LOL

Like four scenes in one! The effect is quite hypnotic, and set on loop the whole could be viewed over and again many times before all the detail and interest were exhausted. I wonder if there is any forum for bryce animations? I suppose it is tricky because of the size of the files.

Beautiful. I was a bit disturbed by the horizontal and vertical appearingly black line but then I made a virtue if it and concentrated on each quadrant separately. Each one is distinctively different from the others. It is worthwhile to play it four times just to take in all that is going on in any of the squares. You would earn 4 times 5/5, but I can give you that only once.

Thanks guys!

David-
First, it's great to see you back! :-)
I was a bit put off by the quadrant separation at first but then I realized that each quadrant was unique and it almost looks kaleidoscopic in a way. The way I did this was to use two slightly squashed spheres set perpendicular to each other as the mirror box and then rotated them independently. I'll be honest and say I really wasn't prepared for the results. It was one of those moments where I just go WOW! The color blending alone is astounding.

My next step is to rotate the spheres in opposite directions around the y axis and see what that does. It will shift the quadrants and they'll merge during the rotation. This ought to be interesting. ;-)

I posted this one at ArtZone the way I did here with the web addresses. Unfortunately they don't turn them into links there but people can always do the cut and paste. I have to check and see if there's a reaction yet. So far I've gotten a positive response from a few people on the works I've already posted. :-)

Horo-
Thanks for the thought of giving me a 5 for each quadrant! I'll settle for one. :-)

By the way, my user name at ArtZone is !Spektyr!
I really hate people copying my name. I was Spektyr on the internet before most people knew there was an internet.

I had to restart the render of the sequel. There's a spot in the middle of the first render where the camera is outside the spheres for an instant. It'll be ready tomorrow.
