the haze adds a dimension to the image, but the color is not very good, compared to the green,

I don't know. It just looks really humid in there and the green gives it a definitely alien feel....at least for me it does. But if you really want to be a critic it's ok. I forgive you. ;-) hehe

Seriously though, what changes would you make?

I know. The grey of the mist is from sunlight. I can give the sun a greenish color so the fog matches the rest of the scene. I'm thinking (UH OH! Look out! I'm dangerous when I start thinking. LOL) of doing an animation by rolling the sphere and making it look like the camera is moving forward through the scene. This aught to be interesting. ;-)

depends on what you are trying to make. If just an image with nice lines and colors, then I would changed the haze to light green.

I'm doing an animation in green but it's a different setup. It's going really fast so I hope it's rendering right. The one big thing I don't like about Lightning is that there's no way to see the chunks as they are being rendered. :-(

DOH! I forgot to set the AA. No wonder it was rendering so fast. LOL I had to restart. I think it will be ready by tomorrow some time.

Strange, it looks empty. One thing I've noticed is that green never gets the same acceptance as blue or yellow-orange-red does. However, green is the colour of hope but there's not much hope in this emptyness.

Looks really alien, doesn't it? Cold, humid and somehow feels completely devoid of life.

Hey Spektyr! This one is kewl! Looks to be alien or something along that line. It has a very cold look about it. Lonely. Empty. I like the haze, it breaks up the void somehow. Also it gives more deminsion to your piece. Great job! Again. Hey what happened to David Brennin? Long time no see a piece from him.???? Hmmmm did he go over to Carrera? 4/5

I don't know what's up with David. I'm temped to email him. I know he's been working with Carrara but that wouldn't keep him away from posting here. I just hope there's nothing wrong.

Working with Carrara... going over to the dark side? If only! Just my hateful intestines playing me up. Yes there is an unusual feeling of space in this scene, the haze is humidifying, but the shapes are so alien that it does not suggest something comforting like a jungle but rather am entirely alien scene (a feeling exercerbated by the green). I confess I'm more of a blue fan if it comes down to just colour choices and loathe pink (due to some horrid medicine I had to endure as a child which was bight pink and real nasty). I'm OK with green though!

I had a bit of a plumbing problem a few weeks ago too although it didn't completely trash me.

This one is truly alien but it has a sterile and lifeless look unless you imagine the green/black structures to be some alien plant life.

I'm a blue fan too. I also like indigo, orange and red. :-)
