Kissing
Description: Wow, I actually made a bryce render! The reason I did, is because I wanted to use Bryce's way of rendering hdri, Bryce's texture that I made some time ago: http://www.bryce5.com/details.php?image_id=2460&mode=search
it was difficult to place the sphere in her hands, that and some other minor mistakes that hopefully you guys won't notice ;) But the hands part for now lets just say she feels she can't touch the sphere rock reflective thing. I was going to name it kissing the rock of life, but its not so cool as just kissing.

Excellent use of Japanese Blossoms HDRI from Keith Bruns. I don't think I've seen a better fitting background for this setup. Excellent job with the hands just not touching the rock sphere. Something about the lower sphere is odd, though.

Bryce can be a real dog when it comes to aligning objects especially when a scene gets big. This is why I'd like to see them adopt the 4 view interface common to Carrara, 3DS Max and other high end software. That would make aligning objects so much more precise.

thanks Horo, this is my favorite HDRI file out of all the hdri files out there, I would love to see more HDRIs like this. THe hands not touching sphere now that I think about it is a good thing, it gives a sort of hesitation feeling, as if a fight is about to begin. The lower sphere's reflection is covered by the arms and it makes it look like an eye.
Question: Is it possible, to make and hdri just like this one that will light up a scene as if it was casting shadows from trees?

spektry, that is an old thing that we all been asking the developers to do, now that they got the code rewritten it should be possible for them to make a nice user interface.

The Japanese Blossom hdri has the sun behind a tree at approximately 22?W and about 70? above the horizon. I think because the sun is behind the tree, the trees are casting prominent shadows. You are welcome to check this tree-shadow-casting-thingy. There are 2 hdri's available for about a week: Pfyn-Pool http://www.horo.ch/2blet/PfynPool.zip and Precipice http://www.horo.ch/2blet/Precipice.zip these have the sun behind a tree, too.

The hdri looks awesome. The scene in general is very cool. I think you could find a more realistic skin texture, something that looks less like the default color assigned to unmapped Daz-studion characters. The bump and specualrity of the skin seems nice enough but it needs a real photo of skin underneath it for a natural skintone variation, that is if you desire natural at all. I am making some last minute adjustments to a skin mapping technique I think will finally help Bryce render humans as convincingly as DazStudio or Carrara can. In another day or so I should be able to post the materiasl into the mat excahnge folder. Nice work. Nice to see you have not forgotten good old bryce!

rashad arter, you right I couldn't find the map for aiko it got lost somehow, but I be looking toward that skin-mapping technique, it be very useful.

"The lower sphere's reflection is covered by the arms and it makes it look like an eye." - YES! I was just going to say that. That is a really neat anomaly that likel was not planned. It's also interesting that the spheres are only reflective on part of them. I bet this concept, used in transparency channel, would make cool thunder eggs!

it wasn't planned, the only part that was planed were the infinite reflections resulting from the two mirrors facing each other.
thunder eggs?

Thunder eggs, according to google images, appear to be round rocks with crystal growths inside them. I'd never heard of this name before, but I've got such a rock on my mantle piece, it's very heavy and tends to collect dust (I've head of a thing called a "duster"... could be just a rumour though). Scene looks excellent, the main issue, as previously observed, being the lack of realistic skin on the model, otherwise, I like everything about it. I'm tempted to deduct a point for lack of skin mat, but that seem needlessly cruel since it was lost somehow so 5/5
