Description: Ok I found an add on I forgot to install that I got a long while ago to add a magic orb in the Mage's hand. I also touched it up in Paint Shop Pro 10 to give the orb and staff balls a magic glow to them.

Still trying to import stuff to Bryce6, b ut might use Bryce6 for other renders other than characters.

I also modified the mage's wing position a bit.

I think that you should get rid of the guy's wings and have him in a more of a fighting position, I would also get rid of the girl as she does nothing but block the view. Also, try some other camera positions and fovs as this one is too straight on and is not helping the scene any. Also, try some more lighting positions and colors, try to really play with cold and warm colors.

Magic looks much better. The scene is definetly threatening. It sucks that you are having difficulty importing the scene into bryce even when you do it piece by piece. Pice by piece should have worked but if it's not working then don't sweat it. Gat's suggestions seem right. let's see if you can make this look like it was made in bryce.

The scene need more light sources somehow, more lamps or something to spread the light a bit while leaving certain parts in darkness. Mist and smaoke would be nice but i doubt that Ds can produce such things.

Steady improvement. Progress is definetly being made.

There is drama in the scene and the pose of the beast is excellent. It is afraid, it is pushed back to the corner - or wall here. I don't think the wings on the guys are wrong. It aways depends on what you want to say.

Sometimes it helps putting a piece of work aside when one gets stuck with it and do something different. Then come back to it later on. Not everything follows a straight line from A to Z.

I like the lighting a lot, especially how it fades out on the right. I would agree with gat about the man on the right. The one on the left could use some work such as using a colored radial light to light him and the surrounding area. Also if you have a halo effect in your photo editor you could add a glow that fades around the magic. I think you're almost there! Hope situations in life improve for you. Maybe you'll feel like re-visiting this scene later.

This is not the first time you have reached your limit so to speak with a particular piece or with feedback about a particular piece. We are all on the same team here. Art is a way of expressing and dealing with our issues in life.

This piece is a perfect example of a struggle. What would I do if I was faced with a beast of unknown origin that was hideous and only a few feet away from me? I would probably run away, but not you Alex, apparently you would find the strength to stay and fight as these morphing dragons have done. They face a formidable foe but they stand bravely and readily. If we did not have challenges and struggles we would be flat and boring, and artless. Sorry to hear you're not having the best life, hope all is well with you and your family's health, as health is first and foremost. You are a well liked member of this forum and we will miss you while you are away. See ya when you return.

I'm taking a break from this scene until I can get it all transfered into Bryce.

So for now I'm working on a new scene. I'll work on it for a long while before I post it first to make sure I got it exactly the way I want it to be in the final render.

As for this scene the only thing I'm not happy with at all is the magic around the staff and mage's hand. Otherwise I have this scene exactly the way I want it.

And Gat, both men are wearing the same outfit with different textures added to them.
This fatnasy, so the men are of a race of shapeshifting dragons I have created for a group I'm with. So the wings stay.

Maybe I'll change their postures if I can get the magic to look more transparent and the way I want it.
