Shell
Shell

Shell
Description: As requested by richter here is the Shell, made in blender, using Aiko I modified some of her geometry to make the "shells". Lighting is mainly of lights that act as if they were a sky light in carrara only with much less render time, I also used AO.

Wow, cool sci-fi image! I'm sure the story behind it is interesting. Sort of like "I Robot". Makes me wonder why she would need breasts if she was an android. Oh well, sci-fi isn't always logical.

breasts are always logical ;)
this is from ghost in shell, the population is slowly turned towards becoming part machine part human, so that people still feel human even through they are not, machines are made to look as human as possible.
thansk for the comment :D

Love it. The ambient occlusion worked very well. The lack of colors is very cool. 5/5

thanks rashadcarter, I think I might actually rerender this one, only I be using carrara this time instead of blender, so that I can use GI instead of lamps and AO.

Hmm, true GI would probably work very well. The lighting you used here is very good but true GI is usually better, but not always. Okay, an addional idea might be to place real human brains into the heads, it would add color and it would demonstrate without any words the hybrid nature of these machine/persons. You made me laugh with the breast response, nicely done!

Clinical clean and scary. A factory to create human-android hybrids. Yes, a robot is a machine, an android looks human-like, hence the breast are logical.

Very impressive Gat!

I really like this one alot! It is a very clinical scene. Reminds me of the first Starwars movie, in the beginning. Your lighting is excellent too. I give you a 5 great job!

With bigger resolution it is even better! I wasn't registered to see this piece bigger then something like 576x360. The lighting as stated above is excellent, the floor has nice reflection, the idea for the creation of such a scene is great. If you look long enough the character in front, those which are far away almost seem to be moving. Nice constructions around the Aiko (I believe these were the Shells, right?). I'd wish to see more cables though, and the modified left leg of the Aiko in front. At least from a distance I can tell that some interesting things could be going on inside her modified leg. Nice postwork also - the semi-transparent glowing lines/grid. Thanks for publishing the "Shell" here, Gat. Top vote!

p.s. .. of course breast are logical!
