Rigidly Defined Areas Of Doubt And Uncertainty
Rigidly Defined Areas Of Doubt And Uncertainty

Rigidly Defined Areas Of Doubt And Uncertainty
Description: As some of you may have guessed by the title of this piece I recently joined the Amalgamated Union of Philosophers, Sages, Luminaries and Other Professional Thinking Persons, Local 42. As our current Vice President, Broomfondle, so eloquently put it, "We demand rigidly defined areas of doubt and uncertainty!" Needless to say I put my brain - did I mention it is the size of a planet? - right to work on this concept straight away. After an undisclosable amount of time - Sorry folks. It's classified. - alarms started to go off. "WARNING! INTRACRANIAL TEMPERATURE EXCEEDING SAFE LIMITS! CEREBRAL MELTDOWN IMMINENT! SHUT DOWN ALL NEURAL PROCESSING IMMEDIATELY!" With some considerable effort, amid the smoke and arcing circuitry, I finally got things under control and decided that this was just another one of those things that is beyond Human understanding like "What ever happened to Maple Walnut Icecream?"

I opted to settle for my best attempt at creating a graphical interpretation that I hope will explain the concept of Rigidly Defined Areas Of Doubt And Uncertainty. This is what I eventually came up with.

Now if you'll all excuse me I have to go stick my head in a bucket of water.

Well, Spektyr, I think no matter how you name this piece, as an abstract, it will fit any name, as far as how you set up your mind (I think Horo said something like that somewhere commenting your previous work). I might be wrong though, anyway.. Nice addition to the gallery. It looks like a ceiling with supporting columns. Seeing your passion to this kind of art I can suggest you the same thing I suggested to Miklos once. Here you can download the latest version of Apophysis and I can tell you it is perfect for your kind of work. It's not so hard to work with it; tutorials are available as well. If you're on, good luck!

Thanks Richter!

I already have Apophysis but I haven't played with it much. If you remember my 'Timothy Leary Nebula' piece, I created the colorful Nebula with Apophysis. Right now I've been haveing too much fun creating these Bryce only abstracts I haven't thought of using any other apps.

Thanks for the tutorial link. It'll be cool to see what new and imaginative stuff I can pull off with it. As long as I don't go into meltdown again that is.

That head bath was really refreshing! ;-)

Very nice again! It reminds me of rainbow topaz. It is almost like looking through the gem itself. 5er for sure!

Another symetrical variant. It is less "crowded" than the others and I like the empty space - it is colourful. It appears that Deep Thought came up with this one so don't demand to have it switched off. I haven't found the fourty-two yet, but the four is already obvious.

Thank you all!

FoxBoy-
Probe my brain?! NOOOOOO! You don't want to look in there. It's full of dark corners and little creepy things that stare at you out of the darkness. Maybe a few cobwebs too. I have to catch up on my dusting. Then there's my ego. You DEFINITELY don't want to meet him! He's pompous and rude and a whole lot of no fun. ;-)

So you really like the Color Ball Vortex? I don't know. I think my latest stuff is much better. That one's way too simple. Then again "To each his own" I guess. :-)

Tina-
Yeah. I love it then they come out looking all crystaline. :-)

Horo-
My goal with this one was to place asymmetrical areas within a symmetrical framework. I designed this one to fit the title. I don't normally do that. I just started thinking about Hitchhiker's Guide and that line floated to the top. Suddenly my nutty mind started dreaming up this whole setup including the intro I wrote. The idea was to give everyone a laugh as well as another interesting image. :-)

A sucessful mixture of symetry and asymetry. For your next challange, how about geometries of partial dimensions? (see fractals) - given the same classic Spektyr treatment?
