Limed (Fixed)
Description: Thanks to Gat for the tips on the 5.5 program.

Anyway, I always wanted to do a car themed project since I first saw David's GT work. Now 2 years later I can say that has finally been done. Both car and girl were bought from DAZ and retextured in bryce. Funny thing is I had to upload the image dwice cause I forgot to texture the drivers nipples. Didn't notice till I made it my laptops background.

I have to join the Platinum plan, Its real hard not to blow alot of cash on that site.

The pose of the driver is excellent, looks really cool. For me, this scene is a bit on the bright side, but there is really nothing wrong with this. Good work, keep it up.

I agree with Horo about the driver. She looks like a rather buxom anime character. ;-)

The car model is also very good.

As for the image being bright, that's really an understatement. It kind of hurts my eyes to look at it. LOL

I have a problem about making my work look 'real world' so instead of fighting a losing battle, I took to making it more hi-qal toonish.

Nothing against making it toonish but I must insist that the fight for reality is not one you have necessarily to loose. There will be a time when you get the knack of it. Just don't see it as a fight, see it as a challenge and start experimenting in a relaxed way.

You could make this look real with only 10 mouse clicks. You've got the models looking great, that's the first tstep. For further realism all you need now is to consider lighting and materials. Avoid the ambient channel and use weak secondary lights or hdri to fill in the shadows, and realsm you have.

There is no reason to feel constrained by having to make an image realistic. That is an acceptable challange (since it is more or less possible for us to agree on what is realistic and what is not) bit I don't think that it need necessarily be a requirement of a good image. I like this render very much. It is bold, looks almost cell shaded and at the same time like a great transparent block of glass. The position and pose of the model is good too. A sequence of these in a pop art style would look good I think, maybe a grid of 16 in a range of colours?
